Our Environment
We can simply say the meaning of the environment is that everything that surrounds us, includes both abiotic and biotic things.
Eco -system -What are its components?
All the biotic and abiotic things maintain a continuous cycle by interacting with each other and they will maintain a balance in nature.
The togetherness of these living and non-living things interacting with each other forms an ecosystem.
The meaning of the biotic components are the living organisms that are human beings, plants, animal, etc.,
The meaning of abiotic components are the non-living organisms that are temperature, rainfall, wind, soil and minerals.
We can say that all living organisms interact with each other and their growth, reproduction and other activities are affected by the abiotic components of the ecosystem.
The place where all these are carried out is known as an ecosystem.
The natural ecosystems in our environment are forests, ponds, and lakes. The artificial ecosystems are like man made for example gardens, parks etc.,
Producers are the organisms that make their own food by using sunlight.
That is all the plants and some bacteria which can produce food by photosynthesis come under this category called as producers.
Consumers are the organisms that directly or indirectly depend on the food produced by the producers.
Consumers are classified as herbivores, carnivores ,omnivores and some parasites.
